HELP! Performance Air Intake GM 84016022

So I have had this kit installed for about 8500 miles and the T-fitting has broken that connects PCV valves to intake tube. So I call GM dealer give part number of kit and ask to order replacment T fitting. Im told they must call gm performance and get part number and they will order. 5 days later no cb from dealer, humm so I call back and was told sorry to get this T fitting you must buy complete new kit. I said well I bought less than 1 yr so hole thing is under warranty....Nope GM dealer didn't install so no parts warranty. Now Im stuck with a system that I can't use. Even the owners guide is no help, no part number, contact of mfg nothing.... If anyone has suggestion let me know...Fitting is 3/8" to 1/2"

 

p.s. I have alread tried shopping for a plastic T fitting at parts stores, nothing found yet

Uh, if you bought the kit via a GM dealer and installed it yourself, you would have a parts warranty on that part. 12 months/12,000 miles. Did you buy online from a GM dealer that sells online or your local dealer?

I did buy from dealer, so far they are declining warranty due to the fact that I could have broke installing. Of course I said well it went 8500 miles before CEL came on due to leaking fitting. Didn't matter, they advised me to pay for a complete new kit, which is crazy. I will try and post pic later, but here is drawing from manual

T-Fittings are readily available at any parts store or on Ebay. No worries..

I just did the same swap, but went from GMC SLT 2wd to CHevy LT 4wd... only have had 4 days

 

 

Are you somehow trying to install the 1500 only intake on your HD?

 

I feel like that might be your reason they aren't willing to help with warranty. And, as long as you have a receipt, you have a 12 months / 12,000 miles part warranty whether they installed it or not. But...as I said, if you are trying to rig this on an HD and they know this, I can see their side of the issue here.

3/8 tee fitting and some heat shrink tubing and build up the one tee up to make the 1/2 hose fit tight, only takes a couple of layers

If you get a clean side separator with a oil catch can you connect the left and right side with one chunk of hose. So as long as that T is just putting both valve cover vents into the intake tube that will be fine. I've had catch cans on last 3 trucks. 13/15/17 all 1500s and never had any check engine lights and everything runs perfect. All were 6.2's but that part of motor venting should be exactly the same. Just make sure if you connect both sides with one piece you get a cap and plug the intake tube otherwise you are getting extra raw air through the intake.

I ran into the same situation, all I did was used brass fittings,  1 female T connector and the male connectors for the hoses. I ordered all my parts form amazon

I have a spare line...it’s a UPR PnP line that I ordered but never used.
