2015 suburban A/C Condenser

Got two 2015 Chevy Suburban that I use for work in the Los Angeles area. The A/C condenser went out on both of them. Called GM to file a complaint, they told me I am the first one to complain about the A/C condenser, and we can't cover it anyway because car is commercially used. I know it is a lie because when I went to the dealership to get it checked out. The mechanic looked at the top right side" driver side" of the condenser and said here is your problem. So I got really impressed that he knew it right away and i asked him did you see this before? he acted as if he didn't hear me and smiled.

Let me mention that our commercial use is High-End Limo Service, we baby sit our fleet. and we only hire professional drivers. So these 2 cars have never been in an accident or mistreated. So if you are running a search on the web for 2015 Suburban or Tahoe LT A/C condenser leaking problems please be advised that you are not the only one. recall should be set for this problem it must be a manufacture defect.

You are absolutely right. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, and Sierra owners who are having AC Condenser leaks. I am one of them. It's so bad that the part is on backorder and they (the dealership & GM) have no idea when they will get more in. So now I'm sweating bullets while waiting for this part to get in.

I contacted GM and demanded they do something about this even if my Tahoe is out of warranty. They have replied but everything is at a stand still until this part comes in.

This is frustrating and disappointing to say the least.

2015 Tahoe LT with 60K miles on it and have been without AC for over three weeks. Filed complaint with GM but we know how that goes. Working on finding a condenser. GM is an absolute disappointment and I will never own another one after this.

This is my 4th Yukon. Seat issues and just overall quality isn't there anymore. Gm guy all my life. Hate to say I stopped by the Toyota dealer yesterday.

Mine failed in the exact same place. As did all three of my friends that own this same truck. The problem is so bad the part is on national back order. I called on dealer, and was told good luck finding a part. He had 11 vehicles down waiting for the part.

Contacted GM to ask them to cover half of the cost to fix it. Worst customer service. They too, just like you, said this is not a widespread problem and they know nothing about it.

I am done with GM. Never again.

I took my suburban in yesterday . Today I get a phone call from the dealership telling me that the problem is my condenser. They tell me it's a 30 day wait but then the paper work says diffrent. I was td to return the rental car since it's under warranty and pick up my suburban until they receive the part. Great temperature is almost at 90's and having an infant is going to be fun. My husband called GM and filed a complaint and was told to keep the rental. But it was a little too late because I had already taken the rental back.

I have a 2015 Yukon XL with 40,000 miles and just had the same issue. GM was zero help and did nothing. My local dealer found an aftermarket but it still cost me $900 to replace. My local dealer has had several issues and is waiting on several condensers for warranty and some owners have been without A/C for over 2 months. My next new purchase will not be a GM product. This was a horrible way to handle a widespread problem.

Just had my 2015 diagnosed with the same condenser problem. Has anyone had any luck with GM replacing or fixing the issue. My suburban has 87k miles.

This is a big and well known problem on '14 and '15 Silverado/Sierra.

TSB on the issue but that is it. No recall since it's not a safety issue.

Many '15 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Escalade models have leaking radiators as well due to a cycling thermostat. Silverado and Sierra also.

If your coolant reservoir is about 1/2-1" below the fill mark that is a tell-tale sign.

Just feel victim to the CONDENSER known issue on 2015 GMC Sierra with 90K miles on it.. It was literally from one drive to the next this SOB blew out on me.. Anyone have any luck trying to solder the weld as a "bandaide" repair for a couple of weeks? Will be traveling for work so I won't be able to get to replacing the condenser myself for a few months.
