New to the site, lifetime GM owner since 1987 to 2016.

I want to start by saying that this site has helped out a lot with all the issues my 2016 Sierra has had. I will try to make this short but I've been trolling since last Oct when I first purchased my truck. Since the second day of owning my truck, i have had issues. It started with the USB to connect to carplay not working, and a service parking assist warning. The USB connect was quickly fixed but after around 8 visits to the dealer, the parking assist just got fixed last month. (knock on wood) Shortly after the first visit to the dealer, I started noticing horrible wind noise at speeds higher than 45 mph. This wind noise is still present and has not been fixed the dealer says its normal, but I have driven a 2017 truck with no wind noise at all. Another issue my truck has had is the wheels flaking and peeling, these have been replaced and the issues seems fixed. My dash has been replaced because it started lifting up out of the place, after a few months the issue has returned. My truck also has a lot of corrosion in the engine, all the parts are stained and look very oxidized which makes the motor look really old.

My biggest concerns are the two recent issues that have developed. My factory paint has begun to bubble up all over on the right side of the truck. It started inside the doors and has now moved to the outer door panels. Also now every time I back up I hear a clunk from the rear, several times I have thought I had backed into my neighbor's car. The list goes on, I am sure I have left some things out but these are just some things I have searched for and been sent to this site.

I have submitted a GM customer service concern and the case has been open for more than 8 months with no help, I have even spoken to the District Manager and he blew me off as well. I had not purchased a new truck since my 2009 was stolen. Since then I have had used trucks but nothing new. I am really disappointed in the quality GM has resorted to and the customer service they have provided. My 2009 was an amazing truck and a big reason I came back to GM. I honestly regret this purchase, if I could start over I would have done plenty of research but like stated before GM has been all I've known and I had never experienced anything like this. Sorry for the venting, and I am sure many of you are extremely happy with your trucks.

Sounds like extreme measures need to be taken. I would look into contacting either the press or a lawyer or both.

I have spoken to a lawyer and he said the process would be very time-consuming. My other option would be the Texas Lemon-Law since I do have all the reports and visits to the dealer. The dealership even had the nerve to say they would help me out if I would trade in for another one. My truck is barely going to hit 4,600 miles and after all the trouble I have had with the truck and the dealership, they offered me 30,000 for my truck freaking insult. I should not have to take such a hit for a defective product.

I'm sure it would be a long process to go the legal route but maybe the threat would be enough to persuade the dealer to be more reasonable

Your truck sounds like a freak! Did it fall off the delivery truck or was it salvaged from a flood? What is your dealer's response to the rusting engine area and the bubbling paint? I would love to see pictures! I can't imagine my dealer allowing me to drive my truck home after reporting this level of dissatisfaction!

I got it new from a GMC dealer with 9 miles, the truck has been nothing but trouble. I will try to upload some pics later on today.

They don't really do anything.

Had an issue with my truck and they set up an appointment for me at the dealership, had zero effect on the outcome

Oh well, I guess the BBB is the best choice. I never have had a need to contact the customer service via this site, so I didn't know it was just lip service.

I will try them next and hopefully, something fair for both parties can be resolved.

Every state has the procedure. Look it up and follow it.

Thank You.

BBB is powerless.
