2017 Tuning

Apparently Diablo is able to tune the Engine only on the 17s. Has anyone had any success with this? Over on their forums they are attempting to tune but its not sticking in the ECM. Dunno if we shoukd be their R&D dept right now.

You can go with blackbear if you have a 6 speed.

I believe to tune the transmission you have to send the TCM off to be unlocked by a specialist on top of the tuning

You don't have to do that. There are a few extra steps for the Tcm but it's easy. I got mine tuned a few months ago.

BBP is the place Im going to use now.
Was waiting on Diablo but the story is always another 2 weeks and no ETA on the TCM tuning.

Yeah I agreee, I was also pretty dissapointed that Diablo quit supporting the i1000 and forces you to purchase a new tuner. Im thinking about checking into the hypertech?

Black Bear Performance w/Autocal tune.
They can do the 2017 engine and 6 speed transmissions, I asked and they said they've already done 30+ 2017's.
DiabloSport cant even figure out their programmers yet... let alone TCM module.

Ordered mine today, I can let you know how the process goes.

Yeah let me know, I have a 2017 with the 8-speed so I dont know if the ECM tune alone will be worth the cost.

Also interested in the results of this. So far, I haven't seen anyone capable of tuning the 8 speed and man does it need some help!

I have a 17 6.2l BB tune and yes it's worth the cost. The truck is very different. Much more fun!!!

I 100% recommend it!

The problem lies in the A8 TCM and the new security protocols GM has put into place. At least that is what I gathered from reading around on the other forums.

Got my AutoCal over the weekend and pulled my Authorization code and emailed it to them this morning for unlock.

Will update as process continues.

Whats the total cost of the process nowadays, around 600ish?

It was $659+ tax
The 2017's are charged an additional $60 over the $599.
