Electric exhaust cutouts before muffler?

I've been thinking about adding electric cutouts before the muffler on my 2016 1500.

 

I want a good sound when cruising around town and occasionally on the highway but be able to enjoy the silence (besides the sound of my 34's) when I have to do a lot of highway driving.

 

Any input on this type of setup?

 

Pros/Cons?

From what I've read you get what you pay for as far as quality wise. I plan on getting one after I install my Kook's headers and catless y. So I can be "that guy" with open headers for fun every once in a while haha but flip a switch and tone it down most the time. I haven't searched to much as far as brands and quality yet though. I deleted the third cat on mine and fired it up to see the sound was like and liked it, just never drove around with it. But I like the idea you have, good luck!

I will probably get flamed here but installed QTP cutouts on my 2014 Mustang GT. They worked really well and were completely dependable. Wound up selling the car and bought a 1972 Chevy truck so all is well with the world.
