Alright fellas I'm the new guy, and I'm here for some help. My name is Rob, I had a job paying 100k a year, but who gives a shit if you arnt happy. My dream has always been to have a speed shop up and running by 30...I'm 24 now so I quit my job and bought my first project to start flipping and working towards that goal. I know, I'm insane, but you can't just talk about what you're gonna do in life, you gotta do it. But I bought a '79 C10 long bed that runs and drives for $500 off some guy, so far everything is good, it actually runs and drives, breaks are a little soft, but nothing too bad going on. Looking for opinions on the best way to increase value. It has some rust issues and I'll post some pictures later, but just curious. Thanks!

Rule #1 *brakes not breaks*

Rule #2 If you want to flip it to make money only do the very basic repairs needed that cost you almost nothing. Anything else eats into profit. Get someone to buy this project for $2500 and repeat the process.

Make sure it runs, drives like it should and will stop. Spend a couple of hours cleaning it, check all the fluids and make sure they are clean and full. Put it up for sale on craigslist with a price of 9950.00 and be ready to negotiate.

Best advice that I can give you is to call your old boss immediately and see if you can get back in before they hire someone else. What you are describing here is a hobby, which you can easily do on the side. Hobbies cost money so you need to keep your day job LOL
