Extinguisher mounts?

Ya, same. I also want it a little more accessible. I have a tonneau cover on my truck and keep the tail gate locked, so by the time I fiddle with that it may be too late.

Just picked up a 2 lb fire extinguisher and it seems to fit well under the rear seat behind the crank to lower the spare tire or under the drivers seat. Any issues with laying these things flat? I always see them mounted vertically.

Should be no issue with laying it flat, just make sure the nozzle is pointed down.

Almost all farmers who mount them on equipment mount them externally, so I wouldn't worry about that either, if you decide you want it there.

Good call on the nozzle down lol. I made sure the pin needs to be pulled from the top or else the pin could just fall out due to gravity and one hard turn and I'd have one hell of a mess!

Slightly off topic but I've owned a lot of jet skis and one thing that always gets me is the USCG requirement to have a fire extinguisher. They were always in the most inconvenient spot too, open the hatch, unscrew cap, pull extinguisher, out out fire.

If I'm riding a jet ski and it starts on fire, it's very likely that fire is in between my legs in the engine bay. Do you really think I'm sticking around to out out my fire when a. It's between my legs and b. I'm surrounded by a ton of water I can roll my jetski and boom fires out...

Sorry off topic but the fire extinguisher reminded me of it.

Ended up saving myself $100+ CDN on a bracket and this 2 lb fire extinguisher fits perfectly under my rear seat on the drivers side. It is behind the spare tire lowering tool and is snug and secure.
