Got sick of driving around with the low tire pressure light on because I have the tires at 50psi while running around empty. Went to the dealership and asked if they could reprogram the truck for 50 psi instead of 80psi.... They did!! No more light on [emoji108]

Nice. I tried to have the dealership do that for mine when I bought it......said they couldn't do it for liability reasons.

I probably would try and get dealer to change the setting but I have gotten quite adept to ignoring the idiot light on the dash. Just like I ignore the seatbelt light when using the pickup around the property, which is where it gets used most of the time.

Aarrrggg..... Don't know what to say. I do know that the first time I went in with my BFG's they had a freak out, said I had the wrong tires on (they're D rated instead of E rated) I explained I was aware of what I had going on, they said ok, but still made a note of the tires on the work order.

Either they really don't know jack about these trucks, or didn't want to do it, and that's how they tell people that they "don't want to do it" it's a computer, it can be programmed or reprogrammed for any parameters that is currently controlled by the computer. It's only a matter of, A: having the moderator rights to do it, and B: wanting to do it.

Look at the people providing a tune for these trucks, they basically have figured out a hack around any moderator blocks that may be in the way, then have their way with the engine program to change the performance.

Remember the old Yenko cars... in reality, a dealership could do their own version of a modern day Yenko by providing tunes to the cars / trucks they sell.... They'd just have to accept the warranty claims themselves, just as the Yenko dealership did.

I purposely purchased a 3500HD with 10,800 rating so I wouldn't have the TPMS sensors. I know they are a great tool and for safety but I didn't have them on my 1977 K15 and did ok.
