1994 flashing brake light issue

Hello.

I just bought a 94 and am trying to weed out the bugs.

Brakes work fine, but the brake light is constantly blinking.

Any ideas as to what to look for?

I'm assuming you are referring to the brake light in the dash constantly flashing and not the rear brake lights. Could be a few things, ABS tops my list.

check your ebrake pedal. it may be flopping around, kicking the light?

brake light is not abs.

 

how is the gadget inside the master cylinder? that will kick on when fluid is low.

Update:

Checked everything and other than the fluid being old and dark I see nothing.

Did notice that the brake light flashes five times then goes out and then 5 again, over and over.
