How can I remove these streaks?

Recommended Posts

These streaks were created from whatever the clowns used to tint my windows....another story in itself....anyway, I've tried using windex and macguires interior detailer to get the dark streaks and white residue off of my doors with no luck. This has turned into a big head ache for me, esp for a brand new truck.

Take it back to them and make them fix it. You payed to have a job done, they can make it right or refund you the money.

I'd probably try an an automotive all purpose cleaner, with a brush..not much that doesn't take out. meguires all purpose cleaner diluted, black fire is good too. use a plastic bristle scrub brush, then microfiber to clean up. follow with dressing of choice.

Watch out for windex around cars...don't use the one with ammonia.

Good advice here. Personally, I'd take it back to the guys who did it, and demand they finish the job. If that's too much of a pain, then a good interior/leather cleaner should remove the streaks. If not, then something like simple green (followed by a detail spray) should do the trick.
