Chevy beat out GM in quality? Maybe GM customers expect more cause they pay more? "Initial quality" might be a key phrase here wirh JD power surveys.

Yeah, that's pretty funny that GMC has 11 more complaints per 100 vehicles than Chevy does even though they are basically the same thing.

 

only possible explaination: GMC owners believe they are buying a much superior product, when actually they are not, they are just getting a chevy with more chrome slapped on and some red dash lighting. That and they can't figure out how to connect their phone to the truck. (read the article, it mentions phone connectivity and voice recognition as examples of complaints, not just GMC, but in general)

Kia at the top. A few of my friends have Kia's and after a few years they're a junk pile, initial quality is pretty worthless in my opinion.

^^Yep, my neighbor has a 3 yr. old Kia what a pile of junk she said. Poor customer service & expensive to repair when out of warranty. IMO they are a Bic Lighter you know they will go out it's just a manner of when...
