2016 A/C question for previous GM owners

I don't have any issues with my 16' GMC, but it hasn't been over 92*F either. For some of the hotter climates, I can see a complaint or two justified.

My '15 3500 diesel cools fine once it finally starts putting out cool air. My beef is that it takes it a minute or more before there is any sign of cool air, even though the fan is running at high speed. In this Georgia 106 heat index today I almost pass out until I'm down the road a mile or so and the cool air starts coming out of the vents. It's almost like it has a delay on it or something.

 

Of course it is working perfectly when I'm at the dealer so they say it's normal operation.

I have a regular cab...the HVAC system works too well.

 

I prefer windows down however, even in winter

Coming from an '06 Dodge MegaCab, this things A/C is freaking awesome!

 

Seriously, My truck has the manual A/C and while it was at the dealer the other day I drove a loaner that had the Auto A/C controls. Same basic truck, but the Auto A/C wasn't even close to the cooling power of my truck no matter how I set it. I drove it for several days and never did get it to cool as well as my A/C does.

Been pretty steady with highs in the low 90s around here lately, I haven't had my A/C on yet. Windows down loving the fresh air...

High 80s here. Mine keeps up and cools great. So great I have to turn it down.
