OK To Use This Transmission Fluid ?

I have 12 quarts of this transmission fluid

Can I? Should I? Use this in my transmission and transfer case? I want to change the transfer case fluid and drop the transmission pan to do a filter change and refill with this fluid.

Says Dexron 6 so yes. Transfer case takes the same.

I used that exact fluid (purchased from that same link) in my 6l90e without issue for many miles, only recently changed back to AC Delco because of cost.

Thanks for the replies.

Even though it's Dexron VI I was mainly curious about it being semi synthetic and mixing it with the factory fluid when I do the transmission service, drop pan and filter.

I noticed no difference switching between OE fluid, Castrol, or AC Delco Dex VI.

Use it with no worries. Full synthetic always protects better in severe heat but this fluid will do just fine.

If you have an Autotrac transfer case (it has an auto 4wd setting on the knob), do not use ATF in it. This t-case should only be filled with GM Autotrac II fluid IIRC.

Owners manual specs Dexron VI for transfer case.

Just changed my transfer case fluid, I used full synth. Dex VI from AA. They had it and was branded CARQUEST full synth.
