Adding remote key fob

Been given a new '16 Express work van with power locks but no key fobs. Anyone think that purchasing a key fob can somehow be made to work with it, possibly needing to add another module for the two to talk? Your thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you should be able to access a screen on the odometer that enters "remote learn mode". I would think as long as you find that screen you should be good. You could always find somebody else with a gm vehicle close to your year, and attempt programming their remote to your van
