This is literally a great <$50 mod. I will use it. And yes, five minute install.

I put mine in about 3-4 weeks ago...

I didn't use it the first week (because I forgot it was there) but now I use it every entry and exit because it's there.

Mine was $50 from the dealership but I used the $100 shop-click-drive coupon so I got a ball and hitch receiver while I was at it.

So how exactly does this install? Looking at my 17 Sierra it looks like the entire A-pillar (long piece) has to be ordered as there is nowhere for the handle to bolt in. Anyway I ordered it from the dealer because I would like to get one, and they said $72 + tax installed so I said yep go ahead and order it. The provided part number early in this post was $35 + $17 shipping to me, to I'm fine with paying the dealership $72 to order and install.

When it comes in I'll report back if the correct part was ordered, and we'll see how this installs without replacing the entire A-pillar plastic thingy lol.

Mine was $48.50 from my local selling dealer. Install time was around 10 mins.

Oops I didn't see this post prior to my posting. But I just ordered through my stealership as well $72 + tax installed. Can you post a pic of yours?

The whole piece must be replaced. There is one clip in the center of the pillar that must be removed. It simply slips on, and tighten 2 bolts. Then snap on two bolt covers.

That's how I was expecting it to come but the pic I saw online only showed the handle so I was like, hmmm no way lol. Thank you!!

So my dealers had me go in Saturday for the assist handle install. After 1 1/2 the come and said my truck is ready.....BUT, they apparently ordered the wrong handle since there was a lot of space on the sides after the install. They said maybe they ordered the handle for the Canyon. Like REALLY!!!???? So I wait again for the "correct" handle to come in esshhhhh.

So at 6'3", you step in off the step rail and if you're not careful you find yourself in the passenger seat?
