Aftermarket Headlight Bulvs

I had to HID lights in my 2015. The factory lights were so bad it was actually dangerous to drive with them. I love the HID's but the only problems I have is that 1) the On Star report comes and says something like headlights malfunction 2) My state inspection station says it's illegal to have after market HID'S.

Is anyone else having these issues?

my onstar report also says this. As for the state inspection I haven’t needed one since buying my truck in 2015.

I thought the CANBUS is supposed to suppress the the errors when using the HiD or LED

I was told by the company that the CANbus was needed to allow the lights to work with the lower voltage the truck puts out for the lowbeam DRL's. CANbus not needed on highbeam or foglight led replacements.

Unless you are using LED. But that’s why I thought it’s supposed to suppress those “error” warnings
