Meh. Id just have them replace the door and be done with it. If you put that adhesive on and pressed the skin to it while it cured, theres a chance that the panel might become warped on the outside.

Yeah i thought of that as well. I really hate the idea of having to get a new door put on though. The technicians from 3M did say that I should be able to fix it with the 3M flexible foam.

Have you looked into getting it welded back on? That would be the strongest hold.

It wasnt welded on from the factory. If you would weld it, you would have to repaint the entire door from the heat blistering the paint on the outside.

Yeah, originally what they do is glue the outer door skin to the brace with adhesive. The foam is sandwiched in between to help prevent any noise or vibration from the two pieces of metal.
