2016 Sierra, 13,000 miles. This is the 2nd radio in this truck. Driving along fine but the radio lost power and reset itself....losing the time on the clock.

Anybody else having problems with GM radios? This is the basic basic radio in the Sierra....tiny screen...no options.

IO3 option just plain sucks....might be time to upgrade this and be done with it. There has been nothing but issues with the IO3’s ever since they were released.

2015 Silverado,19k miles, I have the 8" Mylink and for the past month the radio resets itself (clears all the presets and tunes to 89.5 station all static, I can't replicate it but it has only started doing this about a month ago, the only common denominator is when I open the door to truck to get in I hear a slight audible pop through the speakers and I know it did it again. it's annoying to have to put all your preset station back even if it only happens once a week

Gonna renew this topic. '16' Sierra. Radio cuts out for about 5 secs, clock resets to 12:00, but I don't lose my presets. This has happened a couple times a year since new. Never seemed a big deal and I hate appointments. But it has occured a couple times the past few weeks. Hoping it doesn't get more frequent. Does anybody know what's going on?

I've had a 2014 GMC since new with the small screen 96,00 mile. This happens often. Sometimes I lose the stations.  Other times the engine fans run wide open or the heater control won't work,  the AC comes on when I start the truck in the winter. These vehicles have the ability to turn things and then selves off/on through their Computer.  Low Batteries, Cold, Heat, Heavy Electrical Loads all effect the Average DC voltage.  The Computer even controls the rate of charge and How bite your head light are. These are random errors generated in possibly your CPU.

( RESET/Reboot) Turn off the Vehicle, let set 10 second, Restart it.  If your condition clears reset the clock, radio stations, or turn off/on the AC.

I hold a General Class FCC license in Electronics.  I Call this normal. It could be as simple as weak battery or lose wire.

Load testing the battery might determine its' condition.  Consumer electronics only have to work correctly 85% of time. when it fails comply then you will be able to find it if it serous.
