Front end conversion

Hey guys,

 

Wondering if anyone has ever swapped just the front bumper off a 2015 Chevy 2500 onto a 2015 1500? I know some guys have done the hood but that's not what I'm interested in.

 

To my naked eye it looks like I could remove my front bumper plus the skinny filler piece between the bumper and grill, and replace it with just the 2500 front bumper....leaving everything else in place such as hood, headlights and fenders. But maybe I'm dead wrong?

 

Have always liked the more pronounced front bumper on the 2500 plus it would give me the added benefit of getting rid of some on the rock chips on my paint-matched bumper

A good enough body man could surely do it but, I'd bet you'd have to do some sheet metal massaging.... No offense but, I think you should find something else to fool around with / blow some dough on...

I've only really seen people do the HD swap with grill/lights/hood/bumper. Just doing the bumper would probably make things not line up the same.

I hear you..... Was hoping it would just require modifying the 2500 bumper brackets to work on 1500 frame but can't seem to find any confirmation. Don't really want to drop 1k on the bumper and find out it won't ever even come close to working

Thank you!!!!! This is what I had been looking for... Know of anyway to get a hold of him? I'm assuming that's insta-face or snap-book or some other social media I'm not allowed to have as a condition of employment. I feel like I'm living in the Stone Age for being a younger guy :/

Law enforcement. Not all depts are like that though. I just happen to work for one that does. I honestly see both sides of the argument

That's not my truck. The OP was asking if anyone had just swapped over a 2500 bumper and I happened to come across that truck.
