Hard downshift

My.14 Silverado 5.3 just start a really hard 3-2 downshift. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solution. Dealer is closed until Monday.

mine does the same thing but only in 4 cylinder mode let me know what you find out i am at the same mieage

Tranny problems. Start by checking the level, then color and smell if fluid, then a transmission flush.

Try disabling "Grade Braking" and see if that helps. To do this press the two/haul button and hold for like 5 seconds. You should get a message in the DIC that Grade Braking is disabled. If you like it you will need to do this every time you start the truck: its on by default.

I've been having the same problem,  I'm getting the software service to remove the 4 cylinder option

Seems to be a common GM thing. My '04 did it and so did my '15 until black bear tuned it.
