The bad GM steering truck

Wow, this guy must be really pissed. I was browsing Ebay and came across this.

i thought the steering problems on HD’s were only diesel trucks 2016+ wither the computer assisted steering. This truck is a base gasser.

Thats some scary stuff.  Not sure I like thinking about how my steering inputs get interpreted down at the front end. 

 

That story doesn't seem real though. Why wouldn't GM buy that back. Seems they wouldn't want it out if it caused a death/injury.

Base models do not get the assist steering that has all the issues, instead it uses the same steering that all the '11+ HD's have used that have had zero issues.

According to the 2016 brochure double cab diesels and all crew cabs got Digital Steering Assist.
