2016 GMC Sierra Hesitating

My 2016 GMC Sierra hesitates when I first press the accelerator.  Normal or not?

What engine? How many miles? Perhaps DI service is needed?

When I drove my used 14 Silverado off the lot I entered the on ramp to the highway with my foot to the floor. As I reached the apex of the slight hill that was the on ramp my truck hesitated and felt like it died for a second (at 60) then it started accelerating again. After a little while and a few pedal to the medal starts from a stop I realized it was the tires breaking loose and the traction control kicking in.

I came from a 2006 Sierra 4.8 v8 to the 355hp 2014 Silverado 5.3. It was a major power upgrade for me and my “hesitation problem” was the product of my more powerful truck breaking traction.

I hope your problem is as simple as this.

Try turning traction control off and see if it makes any difference.
