iPhone wireless charge 17 Sierra?

Is there any specific spot or anything special to get newer iPhones to charge on the pad?

You'll have to upgrade to the 2018 charger, and charging pad, or retrofit to an aftermarket charger. The power plug is different on a 2018. I'm sure that this mod will be done more often as soon as the parts are available.

Long topic on it here.  I did this mod and it works on mine. One guy did break it when taking it apart though.

I don’t know which phone you have but I bought a qi case on amazon for my 6s. That worked for me.
