Well my dash has been out of my '89 K5 Jimmy for about 18 months now.... I bought an aftermarket 'sponge' dash and hated the fitment, got rid of it.  I wanted to use my OEM metal dash but it was cracked to crap being from FL.   So after biting the bullet, waiting a few months for just dashes to do their thing.... and then a few months for me to get it back in the truck.   We're done.  While I had it out I completely re-did my gauges.  I wanted a factory Tach which I don't even think was an option in the 87-91's.  So I did my own using all OEM and resto parts.  Mix of my stock gauges and LMC parts.  Turned out great.
