Did you read my 2 posts above where I gave the link to the tool and easy instructions on how to use it??

 

I bought one, it was delivered quickly, and it works fine on our 2013 Cruze, 2015 ATS, and 2015 Silverado.

Are these a cheapo knock-off? Why would those found at GM or Amazon be so much more spendy?

This company sells through amazon, your not looking hard enough haha.

There are more expensive versions but for what?

It does the job it’s intended to do without issue. Just happens to be cheap too.
