Unknown disconnected vacuum line?

Does anyone know what this hooks up to? Couldn't find any disconnected hoses or anything. 96 K1500 5.7

Can you take another picture but slightly zoomed out?

Upon doing further research, this may be a breather on the duty cycle purge solenoid located on the right side(bank 2)valve cover. I'd like to see if I'm right.

needs to stay open to allow backside of solenoid to release whatever its got. I went through the same questions.

 

 

I further found one on my 87 subaru.. does the same thing.

I think you can see the part in this picture, its a little hard to see but mine has a hard plastic line going out of it.  Not sure where it runs to.
