Reliable Lifts/Levels and CV Strains

Hi all.
I own a 2017 Sierra ATX. I love everything about it except the factory rake/stance (I do have an 8spd trans with no issues).
I am looking to either upgrade stance/suspension with a Leveling kit or a lift kit. With that being said, I do not want to go over 4-5 inches if I lift.

What can I get that you all have done to yours that have stood the test of time and off roading abuse?
What have you done to yours that has caused bad premature wear or issues, either with ride quality or actual components breaking?

If you have good or bad experiences, please give me brands and kits as well as mileage with the lift/level or mileage when issues occurred.

So people have their likes and dislikes with specific brand lifts. I have heard and seen bad and good stuff about most lifts out their. You just have to go with what you like and give it a shot. Throughout the years I have used Rough Country, BDS, Sky Jacker, Pro Comp, Fabtech. I currently have Fabtech with 2.5 dirt logics on my 2015 and couldn't be happier. I haven't had any issue hauling and towing heavy and beating it up off road. When the temps drop where I am at suspension does take a beating especially at -50, but still no issues. There is one thing you need to keep in mind lifting and bigger tires is that the performance of the truck with power and towing is going to suck. Lot of tire and weight you trying to move. You might want to look into re-gearing. Some like 4.10s I prefer 4.56. Hope this helps, just my .02 cents.
