Did I make a bad choice?

I recently had a Magnaflow 11229 installed on my 2014 5.3L at a local muffler shop and I'm loving it so far.

However, I can't stop thinking if I made the right decision with how I agreed to have it installed. The guy told me that the stock tail pipe was 2 ⅞" mandrel bent tubing and that I should keep it instead of going with 3" crushed bent tubing. Where the flapper valve and resonator were cut out, they just welded in some tubing the same size of the stock tubing.

I know my truck isn't a race truck and the difference is probably negligible, but I just want your opinions.

I'd take mandrel bent all day... Plus you wouldn't ever notice the difference between the two sizes

I’ve been using the same bender for over 30 years on some high horse power stuff. Never a problem, usually much cheaper than after market full exhaust.
