Auto 4WD and 4WD vibration over 65 MPH

I know there has been a lot of discussions about vibrations.  However, I could not find any that specifically identify the transmission mode.  I just bought a 2018 Sierra 1500 5.3.  When I exceed 65 MPH in auto 4WD or straight 4WD on smooth road, I get vibration. When I switch to 2WD the vibration goes away.  It seems to be a front axle issue.  Anyone else experiencing this particular issue?

I would guess that is normal.  Not sure the vehicle is designed to travel at that kind of speed in 4WD.  I've probably driven in Auto 4WD at 55-60 mph, but the front wheels are not engaged for the most part.

Probably more excusable than the same thing happening in 2WD.  Generally you want to keep these trucks out of 4WD unless you're actually in a low traction situation.  And a wet road doesnt count as low traction.  Definetly sounds like something from the front end.  Maybe a driveshaft or axle shaft? What kind of vibration? Is it a shake or less violent like just a slight hum?

I've driven 80+ in 4wd and never felt any vibrations.

It doesn't? But all these guys buy 4wd trucks down south for when it rains, you mean they would be just fine with 2wd?

Just take it in OP, that is what warranty is for. While I agree 4wd at those speeds is a little high if you are able to run those speeds 4wd shouldn't be needed and vise versa if 4wd is needed those speeds probably shouldn't be, but could be a front drive shaft or any number of things could be an issue depending on how bad the vibration is. Where do you live?

4wd Auto and 4wd high can be used at speeds as high as the truck will go. The truck was designed for that.

Bottom line is this guy^^ is right.  Take it to the dealer and complain.
