Trouble with Bluetooth connection

So I recently updated my iPhone 6s and since then I can’t change the songs on my steering wheel and my screen is froze. I’ve disconnected my phone from the truck, I’ve forgot the device on the phone and reset everything as far as Bluetooth and I still have this problem...anybody know what to do?

Disconnect the Negative battery cable and leave it disconnected for about 5 minutes. Try that and let me know what happens.

Lots of weird shit on these trucks gets remedied with a battery reset. I've never seen anything like it! Strange!

It's because the Modules on the vehicles are actually really becoming computers with Ram and storage. Just like your phone and house computers have to be reset from time to time. So does your vehicles now.

Understood for engine systems, safety features (airbags) or whatever, but bluetooth from the audio system? That should be resettable via the head unit. You shouldn't have to disconnect the battery.

I've been in IT for over 30 years, the last 20 as a software engineer. It just doesn't seem right to me.

I agree. The problem is the blue tooth is part of a larger module. The actual VCIM or the HMI. So if that module goes crazy that's why it has to be power cycled.
