Trans Temp Gauge in a 1500

Either the above pan machined for the sending unit (it's an option) or have your existing pan fit with the bung then yes a gauge can be added.

It might already have one.  Go to a shop with a decent scanner and see if they can pick it up.  If not then you will have to add one.

Just get a 3/4 ton speedometer. Plug and play.

Thats what I did. Put a 3/4 ton in my '99.  Mileage is higher by 40k but my state has no mileage statement on titles after 10 years.

That true you should be able to access it with something like the Scan Gauge II.
