I did not continue the overpriced service and now wish to delete the weather, Wall st journal, etc., crap that I played around with.   How?

i dont know if you can.. ... i think those are standard apps which cannot be deleted... .. if you press and hold, you can move them around, .. but i dont remember seeing an X where you could delete.

You can still use the apps if you use your cell phone as a hotspot, you don't need to pay for the expensive dataplan from onstar.

How do I connect the apps to my phone's hotspot?

20 bucks for unlimited data doesnt seem terrible to me. Nice for roadtrips since I have a dedicated android auto phone that does my maps/music and dont need to plug my primary phone in constantly.

I don't drive my truck very often so it's expensive to me.  if you could buy a gig and then it would roll over every month until it ran out I would do it,  but even on my free trial I think I used 0.1 of a gig the whole time, and that was just from streaming Pandora while I was driving.

I don't know off the top of my head,  next time I'm in the truck I'll try and remember step by step how to do it.  It's very easy though.

While I do pay the $20 a month for AT&T unlimited wifi in the truck, I did test using my phone as a hotspot for the truck's pandora app.

It works. Turn on hotspot on your phone , then connect the truck infotainment system to the phone rather than the truck wifi. It's all in the settings menu.
