2018 Crew Cab Z71 LT (first lifted truck build)

So first of all I hope everyone is doing as well as possible in these crazy times! Gotten a couple more things done past week or two, not as much as I’d like but still it’s progress. So got the revised set of face plates for my compression struts and traction bars water jet cut and I’ve machined 2 out of the 4. Really like how they are coming out. The picture of the plate on traction bar is the revised version straight off the table. The machined pics were from using the first version to set depth and speed. I’ll show the finals once they’re polished.

Also my tires FINALLY came in almost 3 full weeks late! Fury Off-road Country Hunter M/T 37x14.5r26.. haven’t gotten a chance to repolish all the wheels but you get the idea!

Have the front and rear about 85% done.. got to bleed brakes, mount traction bars, install rock lights/suspension illumination and train horns.. still waiting for parts back from chrome too

You can really see how much the light source effects the candy colors in these 2 pics. Taken about 30 seconds apart

I should have them in this evening but it is mounting where my spare tire used to be.

I want some horns. What model are the horns? What direction do you mount them?

A dude passed me the other day and blew his horns at me and waved and said nice rig. It was deafening.

Please post up a video so we can hear them tonight. 

BTW The candy blue is going to look unbelievable in the sunshine.

Damn that color looks awesome might have to look n to something like that, that’ll match my silver Silverado

Well I got it in but they won’t be wired out for a little while everything is getting wired in a solid cable bulkhead style for all my suspension lighting, wheel rings and rock lights. And thanks brother for alway support’n my weird color choices. Lol

My buddy Mike brought his boy over and they put the SHINE on the new wheels! Also finally got to see what one of the faceplates actually looks like sitting on the truck and will be polishing them today for final mount. And got my floating caps in from TIS and they are amazing!

Me too my friend! Haha but honestly I’m pretty much wrapped for now. Got the lighting pretty much wrapped up and spent Saturday wrapping almost all exposed wires in power braid and checking things over. So it’s just hanging out until I get stuff back from chrome. I’ll probably set it on its wheels sometime this week but not much else to do until I get the parts back.

Got a polish on the plates today, really happy with the end result of this product. One step closer to the street.

Got it off the lift today so I could install the traction bars, really liking how it’s coming together.
