60/40 lower center console gun safe

I want to install a gun safe in my 2017, I need to slot out the cross member support. Does anyone know if there are wires underneath or is it solely for support? I’ll post a pic below. Thanks in advance. Ricky

You definitely don't want to cut as not only are there wires but there is some type of module for the airbags that has some of those don't touch warning stickers on it!

SDM is under there.  We had a guy put a gun safe in and drilled right through it.  He couldn't understand why his air bag light wasn't covered under warranty.

^{Had a 2015 Impala that was totaled I swear the air bags all went off otherwise I think  the car was repairable}

Had a 2015 Impala they totaled the car needed  the air bags replaced the cost was to much to replace
