Opinion Please.

I am interested to here from others that have done a level lift on a High Country. I have GY LS2's tires and thinking of getting rid of them and putting some 285-55-20 Toyos on it. So I would have to raise the front.

Am I crazy. Would I be crazy and would I screw up the ride. Last year I did this to the reg cag short box and it did change the ride of it a bit but not that bad. I know apples and oranges, but appreciate comments from crew cab guys.

Should I just leave it alone?

My neighbor has a 2015 and just installed 285/55/20 AT tires with no level and no rub. You may be opening a can of worms doing a level using same OEM wheels. Tires first and go from there. If you have rubbing on UCA’s then do a 2- 2 1/2” level then start looking at new wheels with new offset to give you a no rub ride. In case you’re wondering how I know this, I know this cause it just happened to me. Almost forgot, just ordered new shocks too cause of the new everything threw off the geometry of the truck giving me a tougher ride.

With that tire size on your stock wheels a 1.5-2 inch level kit should work fine. Post pics once you have the new tires installed.

I have noticed that the stock level of the High Country is higher than my reg cab was. I may not need a level kit. Just thinking of getting some trade in value out of these LS2's before they get to many miles on them.

I have 2014 High Country Crew Cab. I installed a 2.5 pro comp level kit. Also did Bilstein shocks front and rear with 305/55/20's. I have them installed on the factory 20's no issues with rubbing. No issues with ride, the shocks helped to keep a nice ride.
