Power step removal

Hey Guys,

I just bought a Sierra Denali. It has the power steps. Since the truck is so low to begin with, I find the power steps are useless to me. 

What is involved in removing them? I imagine the truck might get all crazy and throw codes when they are disconnected.

If you're looking to unload them I might be interested. Depends on where you are and how hard it is to add them.

This is a link to a guy installing factory ones. However if you watch it you should be able to figure out how to remove them and what parts need to come off as well.
