2017 Armrest Snapping Popping

Drivers side armrest was making popping noise with normal elbow or finger pressure.  So while she was in for 1-2 shift tranny clunk and service, added that to the list.

 

They replaced the whole door panel since "Armrest is not serviced separately".   See how this one is in another 12,000 miles...........  These armrests are softer than my 2007 was and I like that - but whatever is inside seems to crush in normal use.
