I like 2016-19 Silverado too; however, I just want to caution you before you are going to do it. If your 2014 Silverado has part of front end damage that needs few parts replacement anyway or it has a rebuilt title then I might consider do the conversion. Other than that, 1) if you have a clean title, you might have a hard time convincing a prospective and suspicious buyer that your pickup has all original part and paint or has never been in an accident. 2) your 2014 parts have used resale values. 3) unless the 2016 parts are real cheap, I would use the money from not doing the conversion to lift/drop with a really nice set of wheel and tire plus other modifications to make your 2014 uniquely your. Someday, who knows you might get bored with your 2014 then you might consider 2023-2025 generation looks. In my opinion, think twice because it might not worth it.

This is awesome! Yes. Before you do any modifications to your truck you should consider all your ups and downs about this. As I’m sure with all mods people do to their trucks.! Let me be clear about what I’m selling, it is a 16-18 front end not a front clip, the difference is I’m supplying parts that are take offs or used not fixed or repaired and only to for the conversion. Just as if you were to get a fender bender except you replace it with newer year. When I did my conversion I wanted to do a clean mod not Frankenstein modification. I made a list of every part i needed to accomplish this and the result was beyond my expectations. So I wanted to give the opportunity to everyone who wants this and facilitate the legwork on finding the parts. I go to junk yards, search on OfferUp, Craigslist and things like that. I compare the prices buying them new and that’s how I came with prices.

The result is on the picture below.

When I searched for Silverado to buy, there were a few sellers that were advertising Z71 and 4x4 with only new decals. I almost got hooked because of prices.

My midnight edition has has the door badge too. Much better than the deal IMO. I was never a fan of the bed decals of any kind.

Just sold this “16-18 front end conversion kit” few weeks ago., I should have another coming in the next week if you interested. The only thing you’ll need be the headlights plug and play from gen5dyi.com to make your 14 connector fit with the 16 headlights IMG_0301.JPG
I did this conversion to my 15 Silverado

What’s the difference between the lt/ltz is it just the grill or what?

The main difference will be the grill and headlights.

When you did the swap from the 14' to 16' did you see anything that really made a difference, stand out like the height of the core support is different or the hood to the grill was different. It even the way the headlights didn't match the holes very good. Just looking because I have a 2014 and I like the Fab Four bumper grill combo call ed the grouper. They only make that in the 16 and newer. So basically wondering what issues I may run into with that.

Any chance theres a conversion kit to change the front end of a 17 to a 15? I don't mind the way my 17 looks but it has HID and they're extremely expensive and don't seem to have as much light output as my 09 with LED bulbs

As far as the body parts, you’ll be better off just purchasing them separately, unless you can find a complete front end locally. For the wiring, you can get the plug and play harness to swap to the 16+ front end for the electrical portion.

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
