Wiring LED flush mount lights in rear bumber

I have a Hammerhead rear bumper with  Zilla flush mount led cube lights to install. I would like to wire the lights so they come on with my cargo/bed lights when the stock switch on console is pressed. The truck is 2014 Sierra SLE.  Will it be as simple as to tap into a wire going to the bed rail lights? The cube lights came with a harness and switch, so I could run them to the battery and the switch to the cab, but I would prefer to use the stock switch to keep everything clean.

Yes you can tie them into your bed lights if the lights don't draw too much power. Being LED you should be fine. What are the wattage rating of the lights? I would personally tie into the cargo lights and the reverse lights using a multi-function (SPDT) switch. That way you can have them on when in reverse, or on when you flip your bed-light switch. Let us know how you make out or if you need help with the actual wiring.

If I remember right there’s a couple different wiring options in this thread somewhere.

I post this response in the other thread yesterday, and I also posted a few months ago in the thread linked above.  Start reading right about here:

Yes it's easy to do if you have the factory LED bed lights.  If you have them the wire for them runs from the junction block above the spare tire, then splits and runs up each side of the truck behind the taillights.  Just splice into that wire on each side and you will be tied into the factory wiring.  When I press the factory cargo light switch below the HVAC controls I get cargo lights, bed lights, and bumper step lights all at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback. I went back and forth on it and decided to just do a dedicated switch in the cab. I could see times where I may want to have the work lights in the bumper on without the cargo lamp up top being on. There is a nice little flat spot just left of the steering wheel that is out of the way, but yet convenient to cut the switch on/off.  I'll get some pics up when it is all done.
