2015 Denali cluster problems

I have 105,000 miles on my duramax, and yesterday my truck almost didn't start due to a weak sounding battery, but the dash cluster was totally black no dial movement, so I took it to a buddy's shop and he tested all three fuse boxes, all good, but one of the batteries were down to 10 volts, being the original batteries he replaced them, after discharging the old ones to hope that the cluster would come back live, but no luck. He made some calls to the dealership service dept but no help. This morning I took it back and asked him to take out the cluster and unplug it for a while (Longshot) it worked! You would think the the fuse to the cluster would have stopped this from happening when the battery loses power, the good news is its fixed and only cost me the price of the batteries, good friend didn't charge me for labor, can only imagine what the gm dealership would have charged. I have read reports this is a common problem with gm over the years and they still haven't got around of fixing the problem.

105k on the truck. Not surprised one of the batterys took the tubes...
