Which Mag-Hytec Diff. cover did you order?

I am trying to order a cover for my diff. and I can't figure out what I have. I have contacted Mag-hytec and they think I have 11.5 ring gear which holds 8 quarts. My dealer has no idea what I have other than a 4.10 locker (G-80) which I already knew. Others have said that I have the 10.5 ring gear.

 

Is there anyone here that has a 03 or 02 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 Gaser with the 4L80E tranny, 8 lug wheels, and a 4.10 ratio with locker (G-80) that has installed a Mag-Hytec cover? If so, can you tell me what you ordered? I also have no idea if the bolts are metric, or standard. Again, the guy at Mag-Hytec sais they are metric. I found that a 13mm socket fits perfectly but who knows what the threads are.

 

Bottom line is, I need to know if I have a full floating axle, 10.5 or 11.5 ring gear, and metric or standard bolts.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A 2500HD 6.0L should have a 10.5" 14 bolt rear axle, the Duramax & 8.1L get the 11.5" rear axle.

duramax and 8.1 have the 11.5

the 6.0 has the 10.5
