Rear Suspension Bounce

So I recently installed a 5/8 drop in my 2014 Silverado we didn’t have to cnotch but what I did notice was a lot more bounce coming from the rear suspension. We did remove the overload spring on the leaf spring but all that changed was we added a 3inch block the reason we did was becuase the u bolts weren’t long enough. I was trying to figure out if by add the overload spring back and getting 6”-11” drop shocks with shock extended would that make the ride quality better
