Door sill step plates? Where to locate

Good morning.  I finally took delivery of my  '18 supercrew yesterday (Dark slate premium plus). Looking for preferably -black plastic- door sill protectors.  Previous brand I was driving has always offered them. I see Putco has stainless and black stainless $150 options....which I'll have to do it if that's all that is out there, but I wanted to ask here first. Dealer parts guy says he's never heard of such a thing, although I can see that there is a GM part number listed online for the plastic plates to go on an older generation pickup.  Maybe those would fit right on? I'm 100% new to GMC and am not even sure what year the body design (slightly) changed.  Advice? Thank you

Haven't seen any let. But the stick on rubber guards are available. Or measure and just buy a roll off it and cut any shape you like with good scissors. I have them a like them.

Thank you.  I may have to try those, although they look like regular stick on textured strip stuff such as what office buildings might use on stairs.  I'd live to find some that are actual molded plastic, for about 1/3 the cost of the $150 metal ones.  I actually put the metal ones in my wife's suv, and my daughter had a book bag strap somehow catch under the corner if it, bent the corner up. Then she slammed be door on it.  That helped it right out.

I put the Putco chrome ones on about a month ago.  Think I paid about $80 on ebay.  They stick well and look decent but if I was doing it over I would probably try some of the clear paint protection film.

I have used that also.  Actually I've used rolls and rolls of it over the years.

GM use to offer a plastic plate set for the older trucks. Forgive me for not knowing anybody with an older one to look at, but at 55mph on the road.....I thought they were the same cab.  Can anybody verify that the cab sill  is actually different on a 14-18 for me?   v.s. a pre 14. Thanks

 I need go check back and see if they list those ones just above, for a pre'14.  Then find a pre 14 truck to look at. They've gotta  be close.  I can work with clse, but I don't  want the $150 stainless ones that some guys say Rub the door, or the sand paper step gripper stuff $10 ones.

I'm going to go buy a roll of skateboard grip tape and cut my own
