Maybe. There is a lot missing but honestly the base trims on all trucks are getting nicer. Ford is moving a lot of highly optioned (for the trim) XLs, the Express trim was hugely popular on the Rams and GM sold tons of Silverado Customs and Sierra Elevation trims which are all essentially the same deal- base trims with some popular options. Full size trucks all hold their value pretty well, I wouldn't worry much about resale. 

Everybody has a different budget of course, gotta stay within that..The more base model trucks certainly are pretty nice inside... I am not that knowledgeable on the 2019's but, I crossed the custom's off my list on the K2 trucks due to lack of a power seat and lack of the autotrac transfer case both were must haves for me so I bought a 2-1/2 year old LT truck that I had been leasing for 28k instead of a new one that fit my budget... Don't know if I'll ever buy a new truck, I'd rather have 2-3 year old vehicles that are fully loaded than a more basic new truck but, that's just my .02...  No doubt the trucks hold their value, I saw a 2015 LT Crew cab that had a sticker of probably 52k selling for $27k with 75k miles on it today...  Lot's of ways to look at it and most all of them are 'right' for somebody!

The Trailboss has Autotrac. Sadly unless you  buy a Z71 trim truck you don't even get low range. It's a AWD transferase. That said I think most of them offer the auto setting now. Maybe the base WT and non-TB Custom don't? Power seat I would miss. Most of the vehicles I've owned have had it but as long as I can dial the seat in I'll be happy. It isn't an issue in trucks usually but anything else I have to lower the seat so I don't hit my head getting in and out.

The Autotrac is a very handy feature if you want the 4x4 truck for getting around in the snow which is one of the main reasons I have a 4 wheel drive truck over a RWD.. Most of the time if the weather is bad I am just using auto as I feel that the truck corners much better in the snow in auto compared to 4hi... I guess that to be honest I don't think I have ever had a need for 4lo in the 5 or 6 years I have had a 4x4 pickup but, it still kinda irritates me that they took away the low range outside of the Z71... The only upside I am hoping might be the case is maybe it makes the transfer more reliable because it has less moving parts...??

The trail boss has a 2 speed transfer case.

Well aware. The Trail Boss is a Z-71 truck. It has the full-feature transfer case. Not some silly AWD thing that belongs in a car.
