Just received my new digital camera. This thing is really easy to use and takes great pictures from what little I have used it. The download to the computer is simple and fast. I give this thing a thumbs up big time and all for under $300.

The 3.2 mp is about what I wanted and it fell in my price range. Price Grabber came through with flying color for me.

Now to figure how to post pictures in here. I guess it is the same as how I did my BullWinkle right?

I also started back to school. Let me tell you being out for 20 yrs. and now trying to get back into English Comp II isn't as easy as I thought it would be.

I will be a paper writing fool for the next two months.

I've had a Sony Mavica for a year and a half and love it. Very easy to use, and you can use the floppies or the stick for storage. Very versatile. We use them at work for our accidents and evidence processing as well.

Congrats on the new camera! The DSC-P72 is a great one! I have a DSC-P31 and it's been a super camera too.

I actually might keep an eye out for a P72 on eBay.

everntually I'm gonna cough up the $$$ for a good DC, but I don't know if I'd use it much. Although I've heard once you start using it you don't stop

The part of the DC I like is that you don't waste film. If you don't like the shot you just delete it. I went and go the 128 meg memory stick. Got it for a great price new off of EBay, you just got to love that site.

Been snapping pictures left and right. One thing is for sure the regular alkaline batteries don't last long. A second set of rechargable is a good idea. This thing is super easy to use.

I think I made a good choice. Been shopping for a few months now and this seemed like a winner and so far is just great.

Black02, you're using regular alkaline batteries in your P72?

I was till the new ones were fully charged. It shows you in the book that they don't last anywhere near what the rechargeable ones do. I have to agree with that they don't :chevy: I wanted to use it as soon as I got it and didn't want to wait for the batteries to charge.

A good tip on batteries is having two sets of rechargeables. The Metal Hydride batteries work well but they have a charactoristic that can catch you off gaurd. They appear to be fully charged then just fall off the scale when they become discharged. The camera battery indicator may look good on one picture then go to half charge then be dead on the next. I tried the Monster rechargeables sold at Circuit City but they didnt last long before they wouldn't take a charge anymore . I use Everready rechargables now and am happy with their performance.

I own a Sony Mavica that I purchased new 6 years ago. I do like the floppy storage for ease of making coppies but the resolution is to low for really clean reprints. Batgirl uses it now to photograph items she is putting on EBay.

I bought a Minolta 303 two years ago and like it a lot. 3.3 megapixels allow for great reprints near 35 mm quality. The compact flash memort is easy to find. The camera came with 16 mega bite card and I added a 64 MB card immediately. When we attended the Comic Con last month I took a 128 MB card in addition to the others just so I wouldn't run out of storage space.

My next camera will be a 5 Megapixel cam when those models come down in price . The $350.00 range would be sweet.

Now that you have that great Sony lets see some pics of you the girl friend and of course the truck.

Have fun with it.

I just got that same camera. I like it. I really wanted that new one, that has the nightshot and the Zeiss lens...but that's too much camera for me anyway. And I got the 128mb stick too. That 16mb one sure don't last long at the full res mode.
