They don't need a gear lower than 3.23 for normal driving. The torque of the 6.2 is immense.

323 is pretty much the standard rear gear. I think the 342 rear gear is special to the max tow trucks. With the 8 and 10 speed trans they have more aggresive gearing in the trans vs the old 6 speed. Less rear gear is needed to get things moving.

I’ve got a 2010 crewcab Silverado 4wd 6.2 liter and it came stock with 3:73’s
