they just pop right in and you use the required adapters from gen5diy. pretty easy.

why the HD's get the ugly lights makes me wonder what GM is thinking.

 

It will be about a week before I do this mod when the truck arrives, but I cant tell the wife I spent two grand replacing brand new working headlights.

 

Nice 6.0L.  My truck is a tricoat white version of yours.  Love it.

Nice...a set of morimoto fogs would complete the look. Are the LEDs brighter than the HIDs?

not at all. the leds are subpar to the HID's in output but look much better as a complete assembly. more modern imo.

try to find them on ebay man. thats what i did. saved 1 grand.

I have some connections.  I’ll get my lights for wholesale or less.  I am sure of that.

 

my neighbor has a 2018 1500 Denali.  Why pay for lights when I can walk down six houses around the bend and just take his.  Lol.  Evil.

Or I can take the lights out of the blue 1500 Sierra SLT I found exactly 12 houses from me...

Interesting.  The stock 2500 HIDs are brighter?  I love the look of the 1500s.

i recommend the dealer. they should have some slt/denali 1500's you can pick from. come to think of it, you can grab me a zl1 1le while youre there. #bff

I had the stock 2500's for a 2015. if im not mistaken, 2500hd's got HID's in the 16+ models. That being said, I did drop in 55w 5000k HID's in my stock 2500hd projectors and they were definitely brighter and with a sharper cutoff too. But again, the look of the 1500 slt/denali housings look so much better as a complete unit though imo. The C shape running LED  is pretty sweet. I also put in 16+ LED taillights too!

Are the 1500 and 2500 tail lights the same for 2018 Denali?

 

now I don’t know if I want to replace my HIDs with the LEDs.  Stumped.
