Opening Morimoto XB fog lights?

Has anyone opened a set of these fog lights and painted the inside from black to another color?

 

If you have opened them, what process did you use to open and close them?

Some headlights are placed in an oven on low temps to break the seal between the backing and clear lens.

Maybe this is something you can do with the fog lights?
