03 Escalade

I been researching the 6.0l and I know I need an 03-06 6.0 to swap into my 06 Silverado. I know it would be ideal to swap my 60e for an 80 but that will have to come at a later date.

I have a couple of questions on the swap...

I found an 03 Escalade... Because it's a Cadillac will the engine bolt right in to my 06 Silverado no problem? All the plugs work and the computer?

You could install any 6.0 from basically 2000 to 2007 if you wanted too. Everything would bolt up the same. They are just difference on the inside with compression ratio's, connecting rod style and cylinder heads for the most part.

A LQ4 or LQ9 like that escalade will bolt in.

The computer will not just work because you run into several difference between body styles and years. 2003 uses different throttle body/pedal/TAC module and you'd have to delete VATS and other random junk.

Just swap the engine and get your computer tuned for the swap. That is the only proper way to do this.
