Dimensions of rear blocks

Brand new here, looking to do something with my 2015 Silverado, the front sits so low so I have been looking into lifts/leveling kits. When kits say 3” in the front and 1” in the rear obviously thats 3” to the front but for the rear the stock blocks are removed so would the 1” rear block be an actual 1” or 1” plus the size of the stock block to lift it 1” higher from the stock height?

It’s +1” of OG block.

Thank you! So right now my rear is 2.5” higher than my front so hypothetically with the 3” front and 1” rear kit my truck would then be 3” in the front and 3.5” in the rear?

Correct, depending on the lift some 3/1 kits will actually level the truck...

Usually the stock block is removed (1.25") and replaced with a 2" block.

I used a 3" block but had a lot of clunking and leaf spring noise that went away when I went back to the factory blocks.
